Anti depressants, sedatives and blood pressure lowering drugs will work temporarily to reduce the symptoms of hot flashes. As a last resort, you physician may even recommend natural estrogen therapy to beat the ill effects of night sweats.

All afflicted women must make an effort to seek help for hot flashes; though, these incidences of night sweats are temporary in nature, just running to two or three years, they may test the patience and endurance of the suffering women.
