Are Peruvian-Maca products safe to use?

I have heard of some places selling irradiated and contaminated maca. This site seems pretty honest about what it is selling, but I am concerned because of the price. Why are so many other so-called "real maca" sites more expensive?

The main reason is that we are direct manufacturers while most other sites you visit are only resellers of maca products. So, they have to hire a company in Peru to manufacture their products while we don't.

I have tried several, and so far i think this one is the best, i started with this one and i felt great but was curious about other brands as they were more expensive and thought that maybe they could be stronger, but i realized they were either the same or not as good as peruvian maca. So far i haven't found a better quality or better price, i love it that they have the 600 capsule bottles because i take it for long periods of time and that saves me lots of money.
