I was disturbed to read the article regarding acne and saying that although Proactive is the biggest seller there is no proof it works. I have adult onset acne and have used Proactive for 8 years. I do try other products but always come back to it as it is the only thing that works. |

Acne is mostly a problem related to hormones, and needs to be taken care from the inside out rather than just from the outside. Nevertheless creams do help a lot, however, like most products, they are not for everyone, and what works for some may not work for others. I have been using many kinds of creams for years and have found many that work, but after a while they stop working. I am now looking for a natural alternative that will help me from the inside out instead of just the outside. I will let you know how peruvian maca works once I tried it for a while |

You shouldn't get disturbed. I agree with Lucia, most creams will work for a while, but they do not get rid of the problem, I was a fan of proactive for a while but acne kept coming back, then I tried Murad, excellent for the first 2 or 3 months. Maca has been great, in contrast to the creams it took a long time (about 3 months) before I saw a difference. However, my skin has been almost clear since then, and I get small flare ups only during my periods (which are much less painful if any at all). So far this has been the best product for my skin as far as working for long periods of times. My skin is not 100% clean, but when I get acne is barely noticeable and it is NOTHING compared to what it was before, so if you can complement it with your favorite cream I think it will probably work even better for you.
