• What is the difference between Maca powder, Maca Gelatinized and Maca Extract?

Maca powder is plain Maca root that has been processed and packed. So, it is like a fruit that has been powdered and packed.

Maca Gelatinized has gone thru the process of extrusion, or pushed thru a food processor at high velocity to avoid chemical constituents get damaged by the high temperature that is needed to make the Maca starch molecules smaller. The process of making starch molecules smaller is known as Maca gelatinization. This gelatinization makes it easier for the body to assimilate the product, but does not necessarily mean that it is a better product. However, Maca Gel unlike Maca powder is 90% soluble, so if you wish to prepare a drink without using a blender you are better off with Maca Gel.

Maca Extract is a processed product that yields the same color and taste all the time. • How Do I Take Maca?
